This homemade pesto mayo is a tasty condiment that requires just 3 ingredients. I’m gradually adding my favorite mayo based sauces & dips to the blog and this one of them. I love how easy and quick this recipe is and that you can either use store bought or homemade pesto to make it.

After trying this recipe, you can try our Mayocue and Bang Bang sauces too. They are great as dips, spreads and for salads.

What exactly is Pesto Mayo?

As the name implies Pesto Mayo is simply a condiment that combines Mayonaise with Pesto sauce usually made from Basil, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil and Parmesan cheese.

This will depend on taste preference. However, one part pesto to 3 or 4 parts mayonnaise is a good place to start. You can always adjust each ingredient to your taste.

Yes, variations will be based on the type of pesto used. You can make this with cilantro pesto, red pepper pesto etc.

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons Pesto
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon juice

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine the Mayonnaise, Pesto and Lemon juice.
  • Whisk the ingredients together until smooth and well combined.
  • Taste and adjust the ratio of Mayonnaise to Pesto according to your taste.
