Cut steak into 1 ½ to 2 inch chunks, then transfer to a bowl, pat dry with paper towel then set aside.
Make a simple steak seasoning blend by combining the salt, garlic powder, black pepper and cayenne pepper.
Pour the seasoning into the bowl with the steak tips, mix till all the meat pieces are coated.
Heat up a large cast iron skillet on medium high heat with oil, when the oil is hot, add the steak tips on a single layer.
Sear each side for 3 to 5 minutes. When cooked through, transfer cooked steak to a plate and let it rest (at this point, you can use it for any recipe you intend to use it for or any side you want to serve it with.)
You can go a step further by tossing it in garlic butter sauce like we did with our garlic butter steak bites. I’ve included the recipe for the sauce in the recipe card below.

Leftover sirloin steak tips can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days after it has cooled down.
Alternatively transfer them to an airtight freezer-safe container or bag and freeze for up to 3 months.
To reheat, simply place the beef tips in the air fryer and air fry at 350°F (180°C) for 3 to 5 mins or until heated through. Reheat in preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 5 to 10 mins until heated through. You can also reheat in the microwave.
Note that the length of time it takes you to reheat with any method depends on the quality. Larger quantities will require more time and vice versa.

FAQs
Steak tips are tender pieces of beef cut from the sirloin or tenderloin tip. They are a popularly used for kebabs, stir-fries, and other dishes where bite-sized pieces of steak are needed.
This will generally depend on the level of doneness you like. I recommend using a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the thickest piece. Aim for 135°F (57°C) for medium-rare, 145°F (63°C) for medium or 160°F (71°C) for well done.
While they are usually not a tough cut of meat, you can tenderize sirloin steak tips by marinating them in an acidic marinade, such as one with citrus juice, or by using a meat mallet to pound them gently before cooking. However, for this recipe, you don’t need to tenderize the meat since we would be cutting them into bite sized pieces.
Absolutely! You can sear the steak tips on the stove top first, then finish cooking them in a hot oven until they reach your desired doneness.
