How to make acorn treats with Hershey's kisses
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Divide the mini chocolate chips into ½ and ¼ cups. Set the ¼ cup aside and melt the ½ cup in the microwave at 30 min intervals till fully melted.
Place each wafer cookie upside down then using the skewer, dab some melted chocolate on each cookie (work in batches)
Then place a Hershey chocolate kiss on the wafer cookie with the melted chocolate acting as glue.
When all is done, place the baking sheet with the acorns in the refrigerator to chill for 10 mins.
After 10 mins, rewarm the melted chocolate if it's beginning to solidify.
Next dab melted chocolate on the other side of the wafers then attach the mini chocolate chips from the reserved ¼ cup on each of the acorns for the stem.
When all is attached, let them chill for another 5 mins in the refrigerator before serving.
How to store
Store Hershey's Kisses acorn treats in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, refrigerate for up to two weeks. Avoid exposing them to direct sunlight or heat to prevent melting.

- Feel free to use any flavor Hershey’s kiss you’d like that is chocolate such as Milk chocolate, or special dark as long as the exterior is covered with chocolate.

Hershey's Kisses acorn treats
Equipment
- Baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- 1 * Skewer (for dabbing melted chocolate on the wafers)
Ingredients
- ¾ cup mini chocolate chips (divided into ½ and ¼)
- 40 mini Nilla wafer cookies (substitute with mini nutter butter cookies)
- 40 Hershey's Chocolate kisses (unwrapped)
Instructions
- Line a baking tray with parchment paper and set it aside.
- Reserve ¼ cup of the mini chocolate chips for the stems. In a small microwave-safe bowl, melt the remaining ½ cup of chocolate chips in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until fully melted.
- Place the Nilla wafers upside down. Use a small spoon or a skewer to add a dab of melted chocolate to the center of the flat side of each cookie.
- Press the bottom of a Hershey’s kiss onto the chocolate on each Nilla wafer. The melted chocolate will act as glue. Repeat with the remaining Hershey’s kisses and Nilla wafers. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to set completely.
- Once set, reheat the reserved melted semisweet chocolate chips.
- Use a skewer to apply a small amount of melted chocolate to the top of each Nilla wafer. Press the flat side of a chocolate chip onto the chocolate to create the acorn stem. Repeat with the remaining acorns and chocolate chips.
- Return the tray to the refrigerator for another 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden and the stems to set. Enjoy!
