How to make s'mores in the air fryer
Place 4 halves of 2 full sheets of Graham crackers in the air fryer basket. Cut the jumbo marshmallows into halves place each half sticky side down on the Graham crackers gently pressing it down to help it stick.
Air fryer at 350°F for 3 to 4 minutes (depending on how toasty you like you marshmallows but I don't recommend going more than 4 minutes)
Open the air fryer basket then place the chocolate on the toasted marshmallows. Bring them out and cover with the other half of the crackers. Repeat till all ingredients are used up.
Variations
Strawberry s'mores: Add some strawberry slices before covering with the graham crackers.
Reese s'mores: Use Reese chocolate instead of milk chocolate as the filling.
Ritz crackers s'mores: Swap out the Graham crackers for Ritz crackers.
How to store
Air fryer s'mores are best eaten fresh. However, If you have leftovers you can store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
For a longer storage time, consider keeping them in the refrigerator, where they can last for up to a week.
To get them gooey again, simply pop them back in the air fryer for a minute or until the marshmallows and chocolate are melty.
Helpful Tips
- Do not skip cutting the marshmallows. The cut edge is sticky and helps the marshmallows stick to the graham crackers so that it doesn't get blown away as it cooks.
- No need to preheat the air fryer however the batches after the first will take less time since the air fryer got preheated while it cooked that first batch.
- After the first 3 to 4 minutes my marshmallows are hot enough to melt the chocolate. If you find that your chocolate isn't melting like you want it to, just push the basket in. The residual heat should fix that. You can also try cooking for an additional minute.
- Since air fryers cook differently and marshmallows can burn quickly, keep an eye on your s’mores as they cook.
FAQs
Traditionally smores are made with milk or dark chocolate however, you can use a mix of white and milk chocolate or Reese's chocolate cups to make your s’mores.
Absolutely! Simply layer marshmallows and chocolate in a baking pan and air fry until melted.
