When it comes to holiday baking, quick and festive treats are always a win. These strawberry Santa hat brownie bites are a fun way to turn a simple box of brownie mix into a Christmas dessert that kids and adults will love.
1box brownie mix(plus ingredients listed on the box -water, oil, eggs)
24mediumStrawberries
8ouncesCool Whip
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F
Make the brownie batter following the directions on the package.
Spoon the batter evenly into a mini muffin pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 12–14 minutes, until set.
Let the brownie bites cool completely before decorating.
Fill a piping bag fitted with a small star tip with Cool Whip.
Pipe a swirl of Cool Whip on top of each brownie bite.
Place a strawberry, trimmed at the top, onto the whipped topping.
Finish by adding a tiny dollop of Cool Whip on the tip of each strawberry to look like a hat.
Notes
Make sure brownies are completely cooled before decorating or the whipped topping will melt.
Trim strawberries evenly so the hats sit flat on top of the brownies. For a fuzzy “snowy” look, dip the whipped topping in unsweetened coconut before adding the strawberry.
Undecorated brownie bites can sit at room temperature for 2 days, but decorated ones should be kept in the fridge.
Use a piping bag with a star tip for a neat swirl, or a zip-top bag with the corner snipped for a quick alternative.
