Smoked sausage with peppers and onions!Sometimes the best recipes are the simple, tried-and-true ones that have been passed down over the years. That's certainly the case with this classic dish.
⅛ teaspooncayenne pepper(substitute with pepper flakes)
¼ teaspoon Salt (Add more to taste)
Instructions
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add one tablespoon of avocado oil. Sauté the sliced kielbasa sausage in the hot oil until it develops a light golden-brown color.
Once the sausage is lightly browned, add the sliced onions and bell peppers into the skillet. Continue cooking for 2-3 minutes, allowing the vegetables to soften a bit.
Next, add in the minced garlic and seasonings. Sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes to allow the seasoning blend in and flavors develop.
Turn off heat, and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
Notes
If you want it a bit saucy, ¼ to ½ cup of broth and let it simmer for 1 to 2 mins.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Try to cut the sausages into equal sizes so they cook evenly.
