20ozMini marshmallows (Two 10 oz bags, reserve ½ of one bag)
1teaspoonvanilla
6cupsRice Krispies cereal
2cupsOreo cookies(15 to 20 cookies, reserve half cup for later)
¼ - ½ cupWhite chocolate (Chopped, for drizzle)
Instructions
Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
In a large pot over low heat, melt the butter.
Add 1 ½ bag of the marshmallows (reserve 1/2 of a bag) and stir until smooth and fully melted.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract, if using.
Add chopped Oreo cookies and the reserved 1 cup of mini marshmallows.
Quickly add the Rice Krispies cereal and gently fold everything together until evenly coated.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish or pan and press it down gently using a spatula or wax paper. Allow the treats to cool at room temperature.
When it's cooled, melt the chocolate in the microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth.
Drizzle the melted chocolate over the cooled treats and immediately sprinkle with the reserved Oreo pieces.
Let the chocolate set for about 20 minutes before slicing into squares.
Notes
Press the mixture lightly to avoid compacting the treats too much, which can make them hard.
Use parchment paper for easier removal and cleanup.
You can use either white chocolate or milk chocolate for the drizzle, both taste great!
For extra flair, try using different flavors of Oreos.
